Chesapeake Celebright ® Permanent Lighting

What Is Celebright® Permanent Lighting?

Celebright® Permanent Lighting is a professionally installed, year-round architectural accent system that follows the rooflines, soffits, and trim of a Chesapeake home. Rather than hanging and taking down holiday strings every season, the track stays mounted all year and virtually disappears against your trim in daylight. After sunset it transforms into a fully programmable display — millions of colors, animated effects, and pre-loaded scenes for Christmas, Halloween, the Fourth of July, and more. Everything is driven from your phone, so a single tap changes the entire look of the house. Because Celebright is commercial-grade LED hardware built specifically for permanent outdoor service, it stands up to weather, UV, and humidity far better than any retail LED strip you can buy off the shelf.

How the Celebright® System Works

At its core, a Celebright installation has three main pieces: the LED track itself, the power supply and controller, and the Celebright Cloud app on your phone. On a Chesapeake home, the track runs along the rooflines, soffits, and architectural trim; all wiring is routed through soffits, attics, or along hidden paths so nothing is visible from the ground. Power supplies live in protected spots like the attic, garage, or a weatherproof exterior enclosure. The controller ties into your home WiFi and becomes the bridge between the physical LEDs and the app. When you tap a color, preset, or animation, the controller tells every LED what to do — and because the system is broken into independently addressable zones, different sections of the house can run different looks at the same time.

Everything Included in Your Installation

A Chesapeake Celebright installation is an end-to-end service, not just a parts drop-off. Pricing includes a full on-site consultation and custom design plan, every Celebright LED track component required for the layout, all concealed wiring runs, power supplies, and the system controller. Our insured installation team handles the mounting, the wiring, the WiFi integration, and the initial programming, including pre-loaded scenes for Christmas, Halloween, Independence Day, and more. We set up the Celebright Cloud app on your phone, pair the controller, and can configure Amazon Alexa or Google Home integration at your request. Before we leave, we run a full system test and walk the display with you both in daylight and after dark to confirm you are happy. Every base installation comes with a 10-year manufacturer warranty on Celebright components and a 3-year installation warranty on the workmanship.

Smart Control with the Celebright Cloud App

The Celebright Cloud app is where your Chesapeake lighting system comes to life. It runs on both iOS and Android and puts full control of every zone, color, and schedule in your pocket. You can turn lights on and off, adjust brightness, pick from millions of colors, or load a pre-set holiday scene in seconds. Custom color combinations save to your favorites, schedules can be set to follow sunset and sunrise, and each zone of the house can be controlled independently so the front, sides, garage, and back all run different looks at the same time. Animation effects — twinkles, fades, color-cycling patterns — are built in, and Alexa and Google Home integration is available for voice control. Every setting lives in the cloud, so a new phone or temporary WiFi outage does not erase your programming.

10-Year Warranty and Ongoing Support

Every Celebright system installed on a Chesapeake home ships with two stacked warranties. Celebright covers the hardware — LED track, power supplies, and controllers — for 10 years against defects in materials and workmanship. Meadow Lawn and Pest backs the installation itself with a 3-year workmanship warranty covering mounting, concealed wiring, and overall system function from the date of installation. While you are inside either coverage window, qualifying repairs are completed at no charge for parts and labor. After the 3-year installation warranty period, non-warranty service is billed at $105 per hour, and the vast majority of service calls take an hour or less. Most issues — loose connections, controller resets, app connectivity problems — are resolved quickly, and actual LED failures are rare but fully covered under the 10-year hardware warranty.

Will the Track Be Visible During the Day?

Probably the most common question Chesapeake homeowners ask is whether the system will look “like Christmas lights” during the day. The answer is no — not when it is professionally installed. The Celebright track is a low-profile aluminum channel about one inch tall, available in white, black, bronze, or a custom painted finish to match your trim. When it is run along rooflines and fascia with the right alignment, most visitors never notice it is there. All wiring is routed inside soffits, attics, or along hidden architectural paths — no exposed cables dangling anywhere. Before we close the project out, we walk the exterior with you in daylight so you can see exactly how subtle the installation reads from the street.

Year-Round Uses Beyond the Holidays

Most Chesapeake customers buy Celebright with Christmas or Halloween in mind and then surprise themselves by how often they use it the rest of the year. Between the built-in holiday scenes and the full-color custom options, the system turns into a full-time lighting tool. On weekday evenings it runs soft warm white as porch lighting; on birthdays it flips to the birthday-kid’s favorite color; on game nights it runs team colors; and in the summer it sets a dinner-on-the-deck ambiance in amber or soft white. Because electricity cost is typically only $5–$15 a month even with nightly use, the marginal cost of using the system every night is effectively nothing — so most homeowners do exactly that.

Best Time to Schedule Your Installation

Permanent lighting can be installed in Chesapeake almost any time of year, but the calendar definitely favors a few windows. Spring — March through May — is the top-priority season: installation temperatures are ideal, scheduling is more flexible, and your system is up well before Memorial Day, July 4th, and the holiday rush. Early fall — September through October — is the other high-priority window; finishing by Halloween means the system is ready for the entire Thanksgiving-through-Christmas stretch. Late fall (November through early December) is still possible, but scheduling gets tight and a 15–25% rush premium can apply. Winter installs are weather-dependent. If Christmas is the main driver, contact us by mid-October at the latest.

What Is Not Included in This Service

There are a few things a Chesapeake Celebright installation does not cover, and it is better to spell them out up front. The service is for exterior architectural lighting — rooflines, soffits, fascia, trim — not interior lighting or ground-level landscape lighting like path lights, spotlights, or tree uplighting (that is a separate service). We install Celebright only; we do not work with other brands, generic LED strips, or customer-supplied materials. We also do not perform electrical panel upgrades, add circuits, or install new outlets — if any of that is needed, a licensed electrician should handle it before installation. Tree trimming or vegetation removal is the customer’s responsibility, and customers in HOA communities are responsible for obtaining any required approvals. We can provide documentation for HOA submissions on request.

How to Prepare Your Home for Permanent Lighting Installation

Preparing a Chesapeake home for a Celebright installation is quick if you check a handful of items in advance. Start by making sure we have safe, clear access to every roofline, soffit, and fascia run where the LED track will be mounted. Confirm those surfaces are structurally sound — any rotted wood or loose trim should be repaired before our arrival. Verify that there is a functional outdoor outlet within a reasonable distance of the planned install area. Clear walkways and walls of bicycles, grills, and outdoor furniture the day before, and move any vehicles blocking driveways or garage doors. Secure pets indoors or away from the install zone. Have your WiFi network name and password handy so we can pair the controller, and flag any architectural or surface details you want our lead installer to see before we begin.
