Leaf Clean Up Program

What Is the Leaf Clean Up Program?

The Leaf Clean Up Program is a seasonal property cleanup service that removes fallen leaves from your lawn, landscape beds, and hard surfaces — then relocates them to designated natural or wooded areas on your property. Using commercial-grade backpack blowers and trained crews, we go far beyond basic leaf blowing to deliver a thorough cleanup. Rather than hauling leaves away, this program returns organic matter to the soil where it can decompose naturally and benefit the surrounding ecosystem. Service is typically performed from October through December during peak leaf drop, though timing varies based on tree species, weather conditions, and regional climate.

On-Property Relocation Explained

Instead of loading leaves into trailers and hauling them off-site, our Leaf Clean Up Program blows all collected leaves into approved wooded or natural areas you designate on your property. We distribute leaves evenly to avoid smothering plants or creating excessive buildup, and we keep relocated leaves away from property lines to prevent conflicts with neighbors. Leaves are placed only in areas where decomposition is beneficial — forest floors, non-maintained zones, and similar spaces. There are no off-site removal or disposal fees with this option, making it a cost-effective and eco-conscious choice for properties with suitable natural areas.

Environmental Benefits of On-Property Relocation

Choosing on-property relocation is one of the most environmentally responsible ways to manage fall leaves. When leaves decompose in wooded areas on your property, they return valuable nutrients to the soil, improve moisture retention, and provide habitat for beneficial insects and wildlife. This approach reduces landfill waste and eliminates the fuel and emissions associated with hauling leaves to off-site disposal facilities. It is an ideal option for homeowners who want a clean, maintained lawn without the environmental footprint of full off-site removal. If your property has suitable natural areas, this program delivers excellent results at a lower cost.

What Areas We Clean

Our Leaf Clean Up Program covers all maintained areas of your property. We clear leaves from turf areas, landscape beds, driveways, walkways, patios, and sidewalks. We also clear leaves from around building foundations, garage doors, HVAC units, utility boxes, and outdoor equipment. Our crews take care in planting beds to avoid displacing mulch, damaging plants, or disturbing the soil. Hard surfaces are fully cleared to eliminate slip hazards and drainage blockages. Areas not included in standard service are gutters, roof surfaces, steep slopes exceeding 25 degrees, zones behind locked gates without access arrangements, and areas with known underground utilities without prior clearance.

Is Your Property a Good Fit?

The Leaf Clean Up Program works best for properties that have a suitable wooded or natural area where leaves can be relocated without causing problems. During your initial site assessment, we identify appropriate zones and confirm that on-property relocation is the right fit for your situation. Properties without natural areas, those under HOA restrictions on leaf placement, or those with extremely heavy leaf volumes may be better served by our Leaf Removal Program, which includes complete off-site hauling and disposal. We will make an honest recommendation during the assessment so you get the right service for your property.

What Is Not Included

To keep expectations clear, the standard Leaf Clean Up Program does not cover sticks, branches, or storm debris — those require separate scheduling and different equipment. We do not clean gutters or remove leaves from roof surfaces, and we do not mulch leaves directly into the lawn using mowing equipment. Ongoing weekly leaf maintenance is not included unless a separate maintenance schedule is arranged. We also cannot guarantee that leaves will not accumulate again after service, as leaf drop is an ongoing seasonal process. If you need any excluded services, we are happy to discuss options or refer you to the appropriate contractor.

When to Schedule and How Often

We schedule leaf cleanups based on actual leaf drop patterns, not fixed calendar dates. We recommend timing service when roughly 75 to 80 percent of leaves have fallen to reduce the likelihood of a follow-up visit. Properties with diverse tree species or extensive canopy coverage — especially those with oak trees, which often drop into late November or December — may benefit from two to three cleanups during the season. We monitor regional leaf drop and can help you determine the best service window for your property. Both one-time and multi-visit schedules are available with flexible options to fit your needs and budget.

Weather Rules and Site Preparation

We do not perform leaf cleanup during rain, sleet, or snow. Wet leaves are three to five times heavier than dry leaves and clog our equipment. We also postpone service when sustained winds exceed 25 mph or gusts top 35 mph, and we reschedule when temperatures are below 25 degrees Fahrenheit or above 95 degrees, or when ground is saturated or frozen. Weather delays never result in rescheduling fees. To prepare for service day, please secure all pets, unlock all gates, clear outdoor furniture and equipment from the lawn, move vehicles from the driveway, and mark any newly installed irrigation components or underground utilities you are aware of.
