Complete Home Pest Control
What Is the Complete Home Pest Control Program?
The Complete Home Pest Control Program is a quarterly preventative service that protects your home from common household insects and rodents year-round. Treatments are performed four times per year, every three months, with both interior and exterior service completed during each visit. This program follows Integrated Pest Management principles, meaning our technicians focus on inspection, prevention, exclusion, and targeted treatments rather than routine blanket applications. Products and methods are selected based on actual pest pressure, site conditions, and seasonal activity. The program is performed by fully licensed and insured technicians in compliance with Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services regulations. It is designed for general household pest prevention, not severe infestations or highly specialized pests.
What Pests Does This Program Cover?
This program covers a wide range of common household insects, including ants, spiders, cockroaches, silverfish, earwigs, centipedes, millipedes, crickets, sow bugs, boxelder bugs, stink bugs, Asian lady beetles, and clover mites. Rodent control is also included, covering mice and rats through exterior baiting, monitoring, and minor entry point sealing. German cockroaches and severe carpenter ant infestations may require specialized treatment beyond the standard program. Pests not covered include termites, bed bugs, fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, stinging insects, and wildlife such as squirrels, raccoons, and bats. These excluded pests require separate programs with different products, equipment, and treatment methods. We will let you know if your situation requires a specialized service.
What Happens During Each Service Visit?
During each quarterly visit, your technician thoroughly inspects both interior and exterior areas for pest activity. The exterior receives a preventative barrier treatment applied to the foundation, around doors and windows, and other potential entry points. Inside, your technician performs spot treatments in problem areas such as baseboards, corners, cracks, and areas with observed pest activity. Spider webs are removed from eaves, corners, and accessible exterior areas. If you are enrolled in rodent monitoring, bait stations are checked and replenished as needed. Minor entry points up to one-half inch in size are sealed to reduce pest access. Most visits take 30 to 60 minutes depending on property size and current pest activity.

How Does Rodent Control Work?
Rodent control is included in every quarterly service. Our technicians inspect interior and exterior areas for signs of rodent activity, including droppings, gnaw marks, runways, and burrows. Tamper-resistant bait stations are placed in strategic exterior locations along the foundation, near burrows, and along rodent runways. When you first enroll, rodent monitoring follows an intensive schedule with weekly visits during weeks one and two, bi-weekly visits during weeks three through eight, then quarterly monitoring integrated with your regular pest control visits. This initial intensive schedule is included at no additional charge and is designed to get any active rodent problems under control quickly. If rodents are active inside your home, larger structural entry points require a separate exclusion quote.
What Pests Are Not Covered Under This Program?
This program is designed for general household pest prevention and is not intended for severe infestations or specialized pests. Termites require a separate inspection and treatment program with specialized equipment. Bed bugs require heat treatment or intensive chemical protocols with multiple follow-up visits. Fleas and ticks require different application methods and products. Mosquitoes require monthly barrier and larvicide treatments available through a separate seasonal program. Stinging insects such as wasps, hornets, and bees require specialized removal techniques and protective equipment. Wildlife including squirrels, raccoons, skunks, bats, and snakes also require dedicated trapping and exclusion programs. If your situation calls for any of these services, we can provide a separate quote.

How Does the Seasonal Service Schedule Work?
Each quarterly visit is tailored to the pest pressures most common during that time of year. In January through March, our focus is on overwintering pests such as cluster flies, boxelder bugs, and stink bugs, along with sealing entry points and checking for rodent activity. In April through June, we target emerging spring ants and spiders as pest populations begin to grow. July through September is peak season, with heavy emphasis on exterior barrier treatments as insects reach their highest populations. October through December focuses on fall invaders seeking overwintering sites and preparing your home before winter. Treatment timing may be adjusted based on observed pest pressure, weather conditions, or your scheduling preferences within each quarter window.
Is the Treatment Safe for My Family and Pets?
All products used in this program are EPA-registered and applied according to strict federal label requirements. Our technicians apply treatments in targeted locations such as baseboards, cracks, crevices, and the exterior foundation rather than as broad indoor sprays. This targeted approach minimizes exposure while maximizing effectiveness. Treated areas are safe once dry, which typically takes 60 to 120 minutes. We recommend keeping children and pets away from treated areas until fully dry. You do not need to leave your home during service. Before interior treatment, please secure pets indoors, clear clutter from baseboards and corners, and remove items from under kitchen and bathroom sinks in areas where interior treatment is planned.
What If I Still See Pests After Treatment?
Some pest activity immediately after treatment is normal and indicates the product is working, as pests are flushed from harborage areas. Spiders and silverfish that contact treated surfaces often show results within 24 hours. Ants and cockroaches that carry bait back to colonies typically decline within three to seven days, while full population reduction takes two to four weeks. If you observe significant pest activity seven to 14 days after treatment, contact us for a complimentary re-service included in your program. Occasional sightings of one or two insects are normal and do not indicate treatment failure. Factors such as clutter, standing water, neighboring infestations, or extreme weather can contribute to ongoing pressure and should be addressed alongside treatment.
